One remarkable aspect of our Executive Committee is that every member serves on a volunteer basis. They generously devote their time, energy, and expertise on top of their regular jobs and family commitments. Their leadership isn’t defined by titles or pay, but by a genuine desire to make a positive difference. From organising cultural events to guiding important community initiatives, they lead by example. In every task, they embody dedication, compassion, and the true spirit of service.
As proud Papua New Guineans, our committee members carry the torch of cultural pride in everything they do. They strive to keep our heritage alive and thriving in Queensland—whether it’s by sharing traditional values, celebrating important cultural days, or mentoring the younger generation. This commitment to culture fosters unity and a sense of belonging among Papua New Guinean families and friends, bridging the gap between our homeland and our lives in Australia.
