An initiative led by our Community Engagement Coordinator, with support from our Public Relations & Social Media Coordinator and the PNGFQI Team

Papua New Guinean communities across Queensland continue to grow stronger through shared purpose and collaboration and this recent networking event was a shining example of that.

Organised by our Community Engagement Coordinator and proudly supported by the Public Relations & Social Media Coordinator alongside the broader PNGFQI team, the event brought together key leaders from various local and regional community groups. These are the individuals driving grassroots projects, cultural programs, youth engagement, and support services in their respective areas and it was inspiring to witness their energy and dedication in one space.

Over tea, laughter, and shared ideas, we discussed upcoming plans, identified areas for collaboration, and explored how PNGFQI can better support each group’s goals throughout 2025. From cultural festivals to youth mentorship, the passion and proactive thinking in the room was unmistakable.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to every community leader who made time to attend. Your work is the heart of our Federation’s mission, and seeing how organised, thoughtful, and energised you are already for the year ahead fills us with pride and confidence for what’s to come.
